FAQ

Is my session unique to my pet?

Yes, your dog's happiness and safety is my priority so we'll work together to ensure we get it right!

Before you book your session, I will answer any questions you may have, discuss possible dates and locations and talk through your ideas and wishes for your photoshoot.

If you then decide to book a session, I will ask you to fill in the pre-session questionnaire to help me tailor your photoshoot to suit you. This covers your pets likes and dislikes, medical issues I should be aware of and the types of photos you'd like capturing,

Please note, a non-refundable retainer and contract signature is required in order to secure your session.

What happens if it rains?

I'll be watching the weather closely on the run up to your session and if it isn't looking great, I'll be in touch to discuss your options. This also applies for extreme conditions such as heatwaves, freezing temperatures and storms etc.

If there's a gap in the rain clouds and you're still happy to go ahead with the session as planned, we can look at moving the time slightly to work around this. This is England after all, it's nearly always grey!

If I feel that your photos will suffer as a consequence of the weather, we will look at alternative dates.

My dog cannot be let off lead, is this ok?

Not a problem! Whilst being off lead allows dogs a little more freedom, I would never advise owners to let their dog off unless they can be recalled consistently, reliably and safely.

With a long line and some photoshop magic, we'll still be able to capture those perfect shots!

Do I need to bring anything with me?

I treat sessions like a normal dog walk so please bring what you would normally take with you. If your dog has a favourite toy or something special that you'd like included in the photos, bring that along too. High value treats are always a good idea!

Please make sure that your dog's collar/harness and lead are in good condition and safe to use. If your dog usually wears a harness, you might want to consider switching to a collar for this occasion.

Humans, make sure to wear suitable clothing and comfortable footwear that you don't mind getting a bit muddy. And don't forget a towel for the drive home!

Can humans be in the photos?

Of course! I always encourage owners to get in front of the camera so we can capture the special bond you have with your dog. I will dedicate some time towards the end of our session for these shots so we can concentrate on capturing your dog perfectly throughout the photoshoot.
